Meet Mufti Shahbaz Hussain, Founder & Lead Instructor
Mufti Shahbaz Hussain is the founder and lead instructor at Al Hussain Islamic Institute, with 10 years of teaching experience. His qualifications include Hifz, Qirat, Dars-e-Nizami, and the Mufti Course, with a specialization in Islamic Business & Finance and Islamic Economics. He also holds a BS (Hons) in English Language & Literature and an MA in Political Science, giving him the ability to teach classical Islamic scholarship with modern clarity.

Our Story
Al Hussain Islamic Institute grew out of a simple observation: many Muslim families across the USA wanted a Quran teacher they could trust completely — qualified, patient, and consistent — but struggled to find one within driving distance, or fit rigid class schedules around their family’s routine. Mufti Shahbaz Hussain built this institute to close that gap: bringing the same standard of teaching he trained under during his Dars-e-Nizami education directly into homes across the USA, over live video, on a schedule that respects each family’s time zone and pace.
Our Approach
Every class at Al Hussain Islamic Institute is live and one-on-one — never pre-recorded. That means real-time correction on Tajweed and pronunciation, a pace set by the individual student rather than a classroom average, and the same teacher every week rather than a rotating cast of instructors. We keep our teaching honest: no inflated promises on how quickly a student will progress, no rushed lessons, and no skipped Tajweed rules.
